ReviewKit currently uses only cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to provide core functionality, such as authentication, account access, security, checkout, and billing management.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We do not use third-party analytics cookies.
We do not track your activity across unrelated websites.

Because we currently use only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies on ReviewKit itself, we do not currently display a cookie consent banner. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, marketing, or tracking cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and request consent where required by law.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in.

Similar technologies, such as local storage, session storage, pixels, tokens, or SDKs, may perform similar functions.

3. Cookies and similar technologies we use

Authentication cookies

ReviewKit uses authentication cookies and related session technologies provided by Clerk when you sign in.

These are used to:

keep you signed in;
identify your session;
protect your account;
allow access to paid features, saved analyses, and account history;
prevent unauthorised access.

These cookies are necessary for signed-in account functionality.

They expire when you sign out or after Clerk's configured session lifetime.

Security and infrastructure technologies

ReviewKit may use cookies, tokens, logs, or similar technologies from infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare where necessary to:

deliver the Service;
secure the Service;
prevent abuse;
protect against attacks;
route requests;
maintain availability.

These technologies are used only where necessary for security, functionality, or service delivery.

Per-account rate limiting

Signed-in users are rate-limited using per-account daily counters stored server-side in Cloudflare KV. These are used solely to enforce free- and paid-tier limits and to prevent abuse.

Counters reset every 24–36 hours.

ReviewKit does not set a cookie for rate limiting.

4. Third-party services

Some third-party services may set their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with them.

Stripe Checkout and Stripe Customer Portal

When you click Buy, Subscribe, Manage billing, or similar payment-related links, you may be redirected to Stripe-hosted pages, such as Stripe Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal.

Stripe may set cookies on Stripe-controlled domains, such as checkout or billing pages, for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and billing functionality.

Stripe's use of cookies is governed by Stripe's own policies.

Clerk login flows

When you sign in or manage your account, Clerk may set authentication, session, security, or account-management cookies.

Clerk's use of cookies is governed by Clerk's own policies.

5. Cookies we do not use

ReviewKit does not currently use:

advertising cookies;
retargeting cookies;
third-party analytics cookies;
social media tracking pixels;
cross-site behavioural tracking cookies;
marketing profiling cookies.

6. Managing cookies

You can block, delete, or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.

If you clear or block necessary cookies, ReviewKit may not work correctly. In particular:

you may be signed out;
you may need to sign in again;
paid features may not be accessible;
saved analyses or account history may not load correctly;
checkout or billing management may not function properly.

Anonymous single-product analysis may continue to work, subject to rate limits and technical availability.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email or through the Service.

If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies that require consent, we will request consent where required by applicable law.
